Role Overview We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer to establish and lead the Quality Assurance function across our fintech products. This role is both hands-on and strategic: you will design and implement QA processes, build automation frameworks, and lay the foundation for a scalable QA team. As the first QA hire, you will play a critical role in improving product quality, reducing risk, and enabling safe and predictable releases.
Key Responsibilities Design and implement end-to-end QA strategy, processes, and standards Build and maintain automated test frameworks (API, backend, and UI where applicable) Define test plans, test cases, and regression testing strategies Ensure quality across backend services, APIs, portals, and integrations Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Dev Ops teams to embed quality early in the SDLCOwn release quality and production readiness criteria Identify quality risks and proactively raise issues Hire, mentor, and lead future QA team members
Required Qualifications4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with strong automation focus Proven experience building QA processes from scratch Strong experience in test automation for APIs and backend services Hands-on experience with automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, REST-assured, Postman, or similar) Experience integrating QA automation with CI/CD pipelines Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and release management Leadership mindset with the ability to mentor and build teams
Preferred Qualifications Experience in fintech, banking, or highly regulated environments Experience testing B2B APIs and financial transactions Familiarity with security testing and compliance-driven QAISTQB or similar certification
