As a Senior Manager within the Tech and Product Risk (TPR) team, you will support the resiliency team in the Cloud Operations Resiliency Engineering (CORE) organization. Utilize your risk management and analytical abilities on high-profile projects involving Risk Management, Technology, Cyber, Cloud, and AI initiatives. You will lead efforts across TPR and CORE to develop industry-leading risk solutions that promote innovation while safeguarding our customers, stakeholders, and associates.
Your Responsibilities:
• Act as a Technology Risk Manager for the Cloud Platforms engineering team, advancing the technology risk agenda and informing critical decisions.
• Establish strong relationships with technology teams to assess the impact of risks on essential business processes.
• Conduct risk reviews through Risk Control and Self Assessments (RCSAs), Process Level Assessments (PLA), and recommend risk mitigation actions.
• Influence leadership in Technology, Compliance, Cyber Security, and Audit on key technology risks and necessary actions.
• Host periodic risk reviews with executives and support metrics reporting for technology risk.
• Develop comprehensive risk analysis, conduct deep investigations, and manage initiatives to minimize risk and enhance controls.
• Design and implement internal risk governance processes.
• Drive continual improvements in the tech risk program using industry standards and practices that align with Capital One's strategic direction.
• Foster innovation within the Enterprise Services Risk organization.
• Apply critical thinking to solve challenges as we deliver cutting-edge Cloud and AI solutions.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or military experience.
• 7+ years in information technology or risk management.
• 7+ years in enterprise initiatives related to risk or technology management.
• 7+ years of experience partnering with internal and external stakeholders.
• 4+ years consulting with senior executives.
• 4+ years delivering comprehensive reporting for tech executives.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certifications such as CCSP, CCSK, or relevant foundational AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Knowledge in Networking, Cloud Environments, and Cybersecurity tooling.
• Familiarity with AI concepts, including Machine Learning and model training.
• Risk Certifications (CRISC, CISM, CRCM, CIPP, ABA Risk Management Certification).
• 3+ years in the Financial Services industry.
• 5+ years of tech and cyber risk management in public cloud environments.
• 3+ years of experience managing risks and controls.
• 3+ years with Risk Management frameworks in public cloud settings.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based on the agreed-upon number of hours. The sales territory ranges from $182,500 to $249,900 depending on location. Candidates hired for this position will also be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation.
