The Sr. Manager, Technical Operations is focused enabling the success a 24x7 Tier 2 support organization for our global technology footprint. This leader is instrumental in driving critically impacting events to resolution, iterative improvement of our proactive monitoring, and working with leaders across the business to improve our ability to effectively respond.
They function as a frontline leader who is comfortable with ambiguity, demonstrating effective communications and alignment in high pressure situations.
Job Requirements
5+ years of experience as an operator in a live service organization (SOC, TOC, ect.)
3+ years experience as a lead operator or team manager for an incident response organization
Demonstrated experience in ITIL compliant operations management; ITIL 4 certification a plus
IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or ISO 22301 Implementer are a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent of education and work experience).
Job Responsibilities
Drive incidents from detection to remediation according to established internal and customer focused SLAs
Implement monitoring and status reporting for the global IREN technical infrastructure, inclusive of our site, corporate, and customer related operations
Establish and maintain a 24x7 incident response schedule, ensuring adequate global coverage to meet operational needs
Coordinating with other IREN teams to establish and maintain an escalations framework capable of responding to all issues
Develop and maintain KPIs which illustrate impacts on our infrastructure and efficacy of incident operations.
Work with technical and operational teams to ensure all changes are appropriately scheduled and that relevant teams are advised
Plan and execute operational programs that ensure an environment of continuous improvement as part of defect resolutions
