Alava Consulting's client is looking for a Sr. Java Developer to join the team. This is a contract to hire position. This position is onsite 5 days a week. The right candidate must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder. The candidate must have strong experience with SQL, Stored Procedures, and SSRS.
Summary: The JAVA positions would be to assist in the development and support of a custom application which includes Nominations, Scheduling, Invoicing, Contracts, Capacity Release and Locations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with team members to develop solutions based on end-user requirements and specifications
- Must communicate clearly
- Designing and developing software systems using best practices
- Testing and deploying programs and applications
- Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining and improving existing software
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and relevant years of job experience
- Modern JavaScript framework experience such as Angular/HTML5
- High level proficiency in JAVA and/or Groovy. (Must-have)
- Experience working with RDBMS systems, primarily SQL Server (T-SQL), Stored Procedures (Must-have)
- Experience with SSRS
- Gas Pipelines Industry work experience is a plus
