Our client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep Java expertise and experience working in low-latency environments. This role focuses on building and enhancing high-performance electronic trading systems, supporting real-time market data, and ensuring reliable post-trade processing. This is a hybrid position based in New York City, NY.
Starting at $225,000/year.
Senior Software Engineer's Responsibilities and Duties
• Design, develop, and maintain low-latency Java-based applications supporting electronic trading systems
• Work with FIX Protocol integrations, including order routing and execution workflows
• Handle real-time market data using proprietary and SIP feeds
• Support post-trade processing, reconciliation, and downstream systems
• Optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability in Linux environments
Senior Software Engineer's Qualifications And Skills
• Senior-level experience as a Java Developer in a low-latency or high-performance environment
• Hands-on experience with electronic trading systems and FIX Protocol
• Strong knowledge of market data feeds, both proprietary and SIP
• Experience supporting post-trade processing systems
• Solid Linux experience in production environments
• Working knowledge of Python or similar scripting languages
