Key Responsibilities Product Strategy & Vision • Develop and execute the product vision and strategy for applied AI solutions. • Translate business goals and user needs into compelling product roadmaps and design strategies. • Elevate product principles and user experience standards within the team. • Perform in-depth market and user research to inform product development. • Establish success metrics, KPIs, and frameworks to evaluate user satisfaction and engagement. • Support product positioning and contribute to effective go-to-market strategies. Design & Innovation Leadership • Oversee product design for AI applications, including Generative AI interfaces and intelligent automation tools. • Lead design sprints and brainstorming sessions to accelerate product development. • Create high-fidelity prototypes and interactive mockups to effectively communicate product concepts. • Design user-friendly interfaces and experiences for AI-powered applications. • Enhance design systems and UI/UX patterns tailored for AI products. • Apply human-centered design principles to solve complex challenges efficiently. • Foster innovation through experimentation, A/B testing, and iterative design. Framework & System Design • Develop reusable product frameworks that enhance platform team efficiency. • Contribute to design guidelines, best practices, and templates for AI product development. • Create playbooks for various use cases and implement service design frameworks for solution delivery. • Ensure compliance with information architecture and data visualization standards. • Contribute to interaction design patterns for AI and machine learning experiences. • Establish accessibility standards and inclusive design guidelines for all AI products. User Research & Insights • Conduct user research to identify needs, behaviors, and pain points related to AI products. • Execute usability tests and user interviews to validate design concepts. • Create user personas, journey maps, and service blueprints for AI solutions. • Analyze user data to guide iterative design enhancements. • Transform research findings into actionable insights to inform product design. • Maintain continuous feedback channels between users, product teams, and platform teams. Utilize your expertise to make a difference Required Qualifications • 7+ years in product design, UX/UI design, or product management roles. • Experience creating AI/ML products in enterprise environments. • A proven record of delivering digital products from inception to launch. • Hands-on experience in building design frameworks and reusable components. • Strong background in designing both consumer and enterprise B2B applications. • Experience in crafting conversational AI and intelligent automation solutions. • Established expertise in leading design for data-driven applications. Design & Product Skills • Proficient in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite. • Robust understanding of UX/UI and interaction design principles. • Familiarity with visual design fundamentals, including typography and layout. • Knowledge of design thinking and service design methodologies. • Skilled in prototyping tools and techniques. • Understanding of front-end technologies for effective collaboration with engineering teams. • Experience in data visualization with complex datasets. AI & Technical Knowledge • Deep understanding of AI/ML concepts and their implications for design. • Experience with Generative AI platforms and prompt engineering. • Familiarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation architectures for AI. • Knowledge of conversational AI design patterns and natural language interfaces. • Awareness of ethical AI principles and strategies for bias mitigation. • Experience in designing APIs for AI services. • Understanding of AI explainability and uncertainty management in design. Research & Strategy Capabilities • Proficient in user research, usability testing, and ethnographic studies. • Experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods. • Aptitude for creating product strategies, planning roadmaps, and managing backlogs. • Expert in synthesizing information and translating insights into actionable requirements. • Familiarity with agile methodologies and iterative design practices. • Experience in formulating business cases and ROI models for products. Leadership & Communication • Exceptional problem-solving skills balancing innovation and execution. • Strong storytelling and presentation skills to articulate design vision. • Collaborative approach, promoting teamwork and transparent communication. • Able to give and receive constructive feedback on designs. • Informed about the latest trends and technologies in AI product design. Additional Information This position follows a hybrid work model and must be performed at one of our designated IT hub locations: Louisville, KY; Tampa, FL; Dallas, TX; Boston, MA; New York City; or Washington, D.C. To ensure effective work-from-home or hybrid setups, employees' self-provided internet must meet a minimum of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds; wired cable or DSL connections are recommended. Employees in California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will receive bi-weekly compensation for internet expenses. Humana will provide telephone equipment necessary for fulfilling job responsibilities. Work must be conducted in a dedicated, uninterrupted space to protect member PHI/HIPAA information. Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Pay Range The compensation range reflects an estimated starting base pay for full-time employment (40 hours per week). Pay may vary based on geographic location and individual qualifications. $151,600 - $208,400 annually This position is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on individual and company performance.
