Location: Pointe-Claire (Montreal) / Hybrid Work Model
TRAVEL: Periodic travel required domestically and internationally to attend regional/global meetings.
Position Summary
The Product Line Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the ’47 Headwear and Fan Favorite product lines. This role owns the end-to-end lifecycle of seasonal assortments, from line planning and costing through in-season purchasing and performance management. Partnering closely with sales, production, and creative teams, the Product Line Manager ensures that assortments are market-relevant, profitable, and aligned with regional and global merchandising strategies. Success in this role requires a strong balance of analytical rigor, commercial instinct, and collaborative execution.
Essential Functions:
• Execute the global and regional merchandising strategy in order to achieve country wholesale targets.
• Support organization with the localized understanding of the regional strategy and well-defined game plan broken down by business segment, category and channel.
• Manage regional and global merchandising calendars to ensure timely execution of all functions including forecasting, sample ordering, purchasing, sourcing etc.
• Analyze and maintain Line plan to ensure SKU counts, pricing, forecast and margin goals are met.
• Play active role in the seasonal catalogue creation process: (provide all product details, proofread early copies, and ensure that all details contained therein are accurate).
• Execute market product/pricing positioning analysis.
• Partner with Mint Green Domestic Production team to ensure that all production needs, timelines and quality standards are met.
• Ensure inventory control and rotation of both stock inventory and sample inventory in partnership with the sales team.
• Monitor style master files for seasonal accuracy.
• Create product with the help of the creative team for “hot market” additional sales opportunities.
• Help develop and execute the regional sales strategy, including previous seasons sales analysis, business segmentation.
• Assist in the development and execution of seasonal and annual fiscal targets for the categories including gross sales, purchased margins, gross profits and inventory levels.
• Develop presentations and show collections to Sales Support (occasionally)
• Sales Agent sample preparation and invoicing.
Skills & Experience
• University degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Buying, Merchandising, Assortment Planning, and/or Margin Analysis.
• Retail or wholesale industry experience strongly preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong analytical and financial acumen.
• Clear, confident communicator with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
• Demonstrated professional maturity, transparency, and integrity.
• Proven ability to identify issues, communicate risks, and drive solutions in fast-paced environments with tight timelines.
• Strong sense of urgency with the ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and accountable, with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
