As a dynamic and hands-on engineer, you will deepen your expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and help to implement innovative data and AI solutions. Your technical skills will be instrumental in supporting senior architects and working directly with clients to ensure project success.
Your Responsibilities:
• Hands-On Technical Delivery:
• Develop data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes leveraging GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage.
• Assist in data modeling, performance tuning, and query optimization in BigQuery.
• Implement data ingestion patterns for both batch and streaming sources.
• Support the development of dashboards and analytics products using Looker.
• Agentic AI & ML Solution Development:
• Aid in the creation of ML models and AI solutions using Vertex AI, Gemini models, and related technologies.
• Implement ML pipelines and support the establishment of MLOps processes including monitoring and deployment.
• Contribute to model testing, validation, and documentation to ensure quality.
• Client Collaboration:
• Participate in client workshops to gather data needs and technical requirements.
• Translate functional requirements into actionable technical tasks.
• Communicate progress and challenges clearly to project leads and stakeholders.
• Data Governance & Quality Support:
• Implement best practices for data quality checks and metadata management using GCP tools.
• Support operational processes for data validation and monitoring to ensure compliance and quality.
• Continuous Learning:
• Stay updated on the latest GCP Data & AI best practices, architectural patterns, and technologies.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and contribute to internal resources and documentation.
Travel may be required based on business needs, ranging from 0 to 100%.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Analytics, or ML Engineering.
• At least 4 years of practical experience with Google Cloud Platform.
• Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and building data pipelines for at least 5 years.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with Python or AI tools; familiarity with Vertex AI is ideal.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (12+ years work experience) is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, and Looker.
• Exposure to AI/ML development with advanced frameworks and methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Git, and cloud-native engineering practices.
• Relevant Google Cloud certifications are a plus.
• Agile experience is highly regarded.
