This is an exciting opportunity to empower yourself and help others achieve their goals. We are in search of a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer for our Intelligent Document Processing team. This role requires hands-on expertise in cloud-native engineering, document workflow automation, and advanced data extraction technologies. Your contributions will be vital in optimizing and scaling our platform while collaborating with engineering leads and business stakeholders to provide production-grade solutions. This role will have a hybrid work schedule, with expectations of working in the office (Columbus, OH, Chicago, IL, Hartford, CT, or Charlotte, NC) three days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Key Responsibilities: • Engineer and maintain cloud-native solutions using AWS services and third-party platforms. • Develop and enhance automated workflows for document ingestion, classification, extraction, and validation. • Integrate components with enterprise systems, ensuring seamless data flow and reliability. • Lead efforts in performance tuning and cost optimization across our cloud infrastructure. • Implement monitoring, alerting, and fault-tolerant mechanisms to ensure platform resilience. • Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and architects to align capabilities with business objectives. • Document technical details, including architecture diagrams, deployment guides, and operational runbooks. • Evaluate emerging technologies and actively contribute to platform roadmap discussions. Qualifications: Required • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering. • Strong programming proficiency in Python and .NET/Java with experience in building scalable backend services. • Deep expertise in AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3, Step Functions, ECS, IAM). • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation). • Proven track record in troubleshooting complex systems and deploying resilient cloud architectures. • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach. Preferred • Experience with AI-powered Intelligent Document Processing platforms (e.g., MEA, Azure Form Recognizer). • Hands-on experience with OCR, NLP, and machine learning technologies in production settings. • Proficiency with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). • AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, Developer, SysOps). • Familiarity with insurance-specific document formats (e.g., SOVs, financial statements). Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. Note that the company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position. Compensation: The annualized base pay range for this role is $137,200 - $205,800, based on similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay may vary based on performance, proficiency, and demonstrated competencies required for the role. This base pay is one component of the total compensation package, which may also include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
