Senior Backup Administrators (positioned as Data Protection Solution Engineers) to support its Cyber Resilience and Data Protection program. These roles are responsible for the implementation, configuration, optimization, and operational readiness of enterprise backup and recovery platforms across cloud and hybrid environments.
The environment is primarily Dell-based (e.g., PPDM). Experience with Rubrik or similar modern cyber recovery platforms is a nice-to-have, but the core requirement is strong foundational backup expertise, system-level understanding, and the ability to learn and adopt new technologies.
These are hands-on delivery roles, embedded within client delivery teams and working under client direction.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and configure enterprise backup and recovery platforms, primarily Dell-based (e.g., PPDM)
Support system design and deployment activities, including architecture validation and best-practice alignment
Perform backup, restore, recovery, and validation activities across cloud and hybrid environments
Onboard workloads into data protection services and validate protection coverage
Configure and manage retention, replication, and recovery policies aligned to business RTO/RPO targets
Support operational readiness, including documentation, handover, and knowledge transfer
Execute and support DR tests, cyber recovery exercises, and recovery validation
Troubleshoot backup failures, restore issues, and performance bottlenecks
Develop and maintain runbooks and recovery playbooks
Support monitoring, alerting, and service management integrations
Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure end-to-end protection
Required Skills & Experience (Must-Have)
Strong enterprise backup and recovery fundamentals
Hands-on experience with Dell data protection technologies (PPDM strongly preferred)
Experience with implementation, configuration, and operationalization of backup platforms
Solid understanding of backup system design, architecture, and best practices
Experience performing backup, restore, DR testing, and recovery validation
Strong knowledge of retention, replication, SLA, RTO/RPO concepts
Experience supporting regulated enterprise environments (insurance or financial services preferred)
Demonstrated ability to learn and adopt new data protection technologies
Strong troubleshooting and operational support skills
Eligibility for Level 1 – Reliability clearance (mandatory)
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with Rubrik, Cohesity, or other modern cyber recovery platforms
Cloud workload protection experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
ITIL-based operations and ServiceNow exposure
Cyber resilience, ransomware detection, or clean recovery validation experience
