We are looking for Security Guards who are proficient in their craft and pay attention to every detail. These locations require full awareness and a willingness to work as a Team to maximize safety for patrons, staff and yourself. As at all of Star Security Inc. locations we follow all of the appropriate guidelines and protocols that are in place including proper use of PPE. These sites REQUIRE ALL SECURITY TO HAVE 2 YEARS SECURITY EXPERIENCE. Only guards who meet the criteria will be considered for these positions.
Job Introduction
Sample of duties to be performed:
- Follow Post Orders (POs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Accurate Report Writing using industry standards/terminology (Daily Occurrence Reports, Incident Reports, and Use of Force Reports, for example)
- Observation and Assisting patrons while on patrol
- Use de-escalation techniques to ensure public and personal safety
- Prepared to intercede where persons or property are threatened
- Two years experience working for an Ontario Security company
- Available 7 days a week to be booked on a rotating continental shift for full-time employment
- Make time to be trained in Use of Force (including handcuffs & batons), Management of Resistant Behaviour, Non-violent Crisis Intervention, and Mental Health Awareness & Response.
- Willing to be trained/maintain certifications by completing training outside scheduled duty hours
