As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations to help create a secure environment for all visitors and staff. What You'll Do : • Provide customer service to clients, guests, and tenants by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies. • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior. • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and / or other undesirable activity. • Observe and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols. • Assist with access control by verifying credentials and / or directing visitors as needed. • Support emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal or site management, following established protocols. • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of all security-related activities and incidents as required by site protocols. Minimum Requirements : • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required. • A guard card or license is preferred. • Customer service experience is preferred. • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
