We are seeking to appoint a Research Assistant who will contribute to NTU’s mission of advancing applied research in large language models (LLMs), software engineering, and AI applications for healthcare and data systems.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct research on large language models (LLMs), including their applications in code generation, data transformation, and medical AI.
• Design and implement innovative AI-driven tools for data exchange, medical standardization, and risk prediction systems.
• Collaborate with clinicians, academic partners, and industry stakeholders to co-develop AI systems for healthcare and data governance.
• Prepare and publish high-quality research papers in top-tier venues (e.g., ACL, WWW, applied AI and software engineering conferences).
• Contribute to research proposals for competitive funding opportunities in AI for healthcare and data systems.
• Support supervision and mentorship of undergraduate students and junior researchers in AI and software projects.
• Assist in building prototypes and demonstrators for research translation to practical healthcare and data applications.
Requirements:
• A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
• Research or applied experience in large language models (LLMs), software engineering, or healthcare-related AI applications.
• Hands-on expertise in software development, back-end systems, and LLM prompt design and evaluation.
• Experience in interdisciplinary projects, including AI for healthcare and data systems.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, and C++, with experience in frameworks like Springboot.
• Proficiency in experimental design, model evaluation, and reproducibility of research findings.
