QA/BA Automation Engineer

UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking a QA/BA Automation Engineer for an onsite role in Brooklyn, NY with experience testing AI-driven and agentic systems to support a high-priority, agency-wide initiative focused on reducing payment error rates and strengthening program integrity. This role will design and execute intelligent testing strategies for AI-enabled applications, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and reliability across complex enterprise workflows in a regulated environment. WHAT WE OFFER • Engagement on mission-critical, high-visibility government initiatives • Hands-on exposure to AI-driven QA, automation, and agentic testing tools • Collaborative environment with experienced QA, engineering, and data teams • Commitment to professional growth and continuous learning MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS Candidates who do not meet the mandatory requirements will not be considered. • Minimum 5 years of experience using industry-standard tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps (AZDO), Balsamiq, and MS Visio • Minimum 5 years of experience working with test automation tools including QTP, WinRunner, Visual Studio, and Selenium • Minimum 5 years of experience creating, executing, maintaining, and managing automated test scripts • Minimum 5 years of experience utilizing SQL Server for data validation • 5 Years experience conducting performance testing using LoadRunner and JMeter • Minimum 5 years of experience working within Agile and Scrum development methodologies • Minimum 5 years of experience using version control systems such as Git and collaboration platforms including GitHub or GitLab • Minimum 5 years of experience managing the end-to-end defect lifecycle , including defect logging, tracking, validation, and closure • Minimum 5 years of experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps • Experience testing REST and SOAP APIs and validating system integrations • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex workflows and identify automation opportunities SCOPE OF SERVICES • Design and create AI agent test scenarios to validate agent behavior, decision logic, and performance • Analyze Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) to derive test cases and ensure comprehensive test coverage • Conduct performance testing of AI-enabled systems to identify bottlenecks and validate scalability • Utilize agentic tools such as Windsurf, Claude Code, and Cursor to support advanced automation tasks • Implement and leverage AI-powered Selenium plugins, including Healenium and Applitools Eyes, for intelligent visual and functional testing • Integrate QA automation processes with centralized orchestration frameworks such as a Master Control Program (MCP) • Test and validate integrations with REST and SOAP APIs to ensure seamless system connectivity • Analyze business and process workflows to identify testing gaps, risks, and automation opportunities • Proactively identify opportunities to optimize QA lifecycle activities through AI-driven automation • Automate data-intensive tasks using Excel automation techniques • Support continuous improvement of testing strategies, tools, and documentation UNIVERSAL Technologies is an equal opportunity employer.
