Job Summary: QA Consultant Houston, TX 6 months + F2F Interview The hard requirements/skills for this job are: Automation Testing Jasmine/Protractor Testing data science web applications. They need to have been working with applications that consist of real time and historical data The candidate can have either jasmine/protractor experience OR real time/historical data experience. They do not need both as long as they have automation experience Below is the job description: Requirements At Least 5 years of QA experience Must have prior experience in QA working with data science web applications Experience working with historical and real-time data (Web applications are written in Angular, Web API's - C#). Automation experience in an enterprise environment Experience working across multiple projects as a shared resource vs. one project group. Great communication skills Protractor/Jasmine used for testing Angular Web applications Responsibilities What business problem is this team trying to solve? They have multiple projects within the data science groups that are reaching the QA stage and there is not a QA resource assigned to these projects. Which projects will this QA be working on? 3 projects named: Mole, Hippo, Drill Trek (All drilling and well optimization projects). The mission of the project is to be able to gather and use data for drilling and well optimization. These projects are moving into the testing phases currently. Currently the team consists of 10 developers, Scrum master, and a product owner. Primary duties for this QA position consist of: Write out test cases for the application written in each project Execute Test Cases Automation Testing What does a typical day look like? You will be collaborating with the Data Science Groups to learn about the applications and their intended outcomes. Develop and execute test cases. Work across multiple projects at one time as the sole QA resource. The ability to be the sole QA resource for Data science-based projects within a large enterprise is something that will be able to advance your skills and keep you marketable by working with the latest technology.
