• Proven track record building end-to-end test strategies for complex, front-to-back workflows.
• Hands-on experience with legacy mainframe systems: understanding how the mainframe processes data, designing and validating data-migration flows from mainframe to distributed tiers, and testing those migrations in the live mainframe environment.
• Collaboration Strong influencer: comfortable partnering with Product, DevOps, Engineering and Operations to embed quality throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Skilled at balancing PODs individual priorities while maintaining a coherent, end-to-end test strategy across both distributed and mainframe platforms.
• Strategic & Analytical Mindset Experience defining test roadmaps, metrics/KPIs (e.g., defect leakage, test coverage, automation percentage) and continuously improving them.
• Skilled at risk-based testing: prioritizing what to test when timelines are tight and leveraging data to drive coverage decisions. Process & Tooling Savvy Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, DevOps) to build automation into nightly/regression suites.
• Expert in Playwright for UI automation and Insomnia for API testing.
• Familiarity with modern test management platforms (TestRail, qTest) and defect-tracking tools (JIRA).
• Communication & Stakeholder Management
• Exceptional verbal and written communicator able to translate technical test results into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proactive in surfacing risks early and driving cross-team alignment on scope, timelines and acceptance criteria.
