QA Analyst/Tester- Toll Systems

As part of the project team, you will support the implementation of solutions that process real-time, real-world sensor information into transactions and operations information. You will support the software and hardware development testing cycle, from requirements and unit testing to epic/regression testing with release management. Tests range from simple ad hoc analysis to complex scripted scenarios. This role will require work in and around the Houston metropolitan region, during the day and night, any day of the week, working in an office or outside in weather typical for the Houston area. When not in the field, this role requires work at the client's office in Northwest Houston off of 290 and Hollister. This role is as an employee, working full-time for a single client. This role will report to a testing manager and project manager, and support various stages in the lifecycle of a project implementation. Responsibilities: • Support the development and review of business requirements for the project system. • Participate in system testing, including for production support software releases. • Identify and prepare scope documents for enhancements to the project system that enhances Customer Service Representative (CSR) workflow by improving efficiency or the customer experience. • Work with the system maintenance team in reviewing proposals and delivery of enhancements including managing testing requirements. • Creation/coding of unit, epic, UI, load, and regression test scenarios. • Analysis and mapping of requirements and use cases to tests. • Management and control of build/release cycle. • Document test processes, procedures, techniques, and cases. • Provide meaningful feedback to developers and management regarding quality and quality processes. Requirements: • 2-6 years of experience. • 2+ years of enterprise testing experience, including creation of test code automation. • Familiarity with testing both client-facing (GUI) and embedded applications. • Linux & Windows familiarity. • Undergraduate degree in computer science or related field. • Oracle/PL-SQL exposure. • Familiarity with HP Quality Center, TestComplete, JUnit, Eclipse IDE, Git version control. • Experience with hardware-based or embedded systems. Qualifications Desired: • Preferred 5 years of general testing experience. • Experience with operating specialty test stands and equipment. Operating automotive test stands preferred. • Good trouble shooting skills and root cause analysis • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and conduct themselves in a professional manner. • Must be motivated individual who is willing to accept responsibility. • Knowledge of roadway tolling and customer account management systems.
