About the role
We are looking for a Principal Consultant to join our Oracle Consulting team and lead customer delivery projects. This is a hands-on role. You will not just manage from the side. You will be deeply involved in solution design, migration work, troubleshooting, and guiding the technical team.
You will work on real customer projects around cloud migration, database migration, DR setup, and platform modernization. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is a big focus, but we also work with AWS and Azure. If you enjoy building things, solving hard delivery problems, and working closely with customers, this role is for you.
What you will do
• Lead and deliver customer projects end to end, from design to go-live and post-migration support.
• Drive cloud migration projects including lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and modernization.
• Design and implement database migrations (Oracle DB preferred, but PostgreSQL and other databases are also welcome).
• Build and test DR and high availability solutions.
• Lead VM migrations and post-migration tuning.
• Work hands-on with OCI, and also with AWS or Azure when needed.
• Design basic network and system architecture for customer solutions.
• Advise customers on application strategy, migration approach, and technical trade-offs.
• Troubleshoot real production issues and support critical cutovers.
• Manage project timelines, risks, and customer expectations.
• Guide and mentor junior consultants and engineers.
What we are looking for
• Strong hands-on experience in cloud and database projects.
• Solid background in Oracle DB. Experience with other databases is also good.
• Real project experience in DR, migration, cutover, and post-migration support.
• Experience with OCI, AWS, GCP, Azure or Alicloud etc. OCI experience is a strong plus.
• Experience in VM migration and cloud platform moves.
• Good understanding of network basics and system architecture.
• Experience leading technical delivery, not just doing project management.
• Comfortable working directly with customers and senior stakeholders.
• Able to stay calm and practical when things go wrong in delivery.
