About The Business

Work you'll do
• Design, develop, and implement scalable AI solutions to solve specific business and technical challenges across domains such as AI agent development, orchestration, A2A and MCP protocols, NLP, predictive analytics, and cognitive automation.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to collect, preprocess, and structure data for backbone knowledge layer ingestion
• Design and optimise solutions that utilize frontier LLMs and SLMs, both open-source and 3rd party, to drive high accuracy, consistency, and explainability.
• Develop production-grade AI applications and enterprise systems, working within modern development environments.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for AI solutions, including technical specifications, model lineage, and deployment guides.
• Monitor model performance in production, detect drift or bias, and implement retraining or mitigation strategies.
• Monitor emerging AI technologies and research trends—such as emerging generative AI capabilities, new models, and AI ethics—and assess their applicability for new projects.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior researchers and engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, rigor, and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to research proposals, intellectual property development, and collaboration with academic and industry partners.

We are looking for someone with
• PhD in a STEM-related field (e.g., Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar) obtained in Hong Kong.
• The PhD must have been awarded by:
• A local Hong Kong university, or
• A non-local institution ranked among the top 100 in STEM subjects in the latest QS World University Rankings by Subject
• 2-5 years of experience working with AI, either in research or industry.
• Strong programming proficiency in Python and experience with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face.
• Solid understanding of data engineering principles, model validation, and performance optimization.
• Experience model deployment, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex AI concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a results-driven mindset.
