Platform Operations / DevOps Engineer (12-Month Contract, Mid-Level) • Duration: 12-month contract • Salary Range (Monthly): SGD 5,000 – 7,000 • Probation Period: 3 months • Renewal or Full time conversion potential: Subject to performance and business needs Role Purpose We are looking for a mid-level Platform Operations / DevOps Engineer to support the stabilisation of live production systems, improve deployment consistency, and reduce operational friction for development teams. This role is execution-focused and works under clear technical direction. You will help make existing systems safer, more predictable, and easier to operate. Key Responsibilities 1. CI/CD & Deployment Operations • Maintain and improve existing CI pipelines (Jenkins-based) • Assist in standardising deployment processes across applications • Reduce manual deployment steps and configuration errors • Support release activities and basic rollback procedures 2. Environment & Platform Support • Support production, UAT, and development environments • Help reduce configuration drift and environment inconsistencies • Assist with server, application, and service configuration tasks • Ensure environment changes are documented and traceable 3. Monitoring, Logging & Incident Support • Help implement and maintain monitoring and alerting • Assist in investigating production incidents • Maintain operational runbooks and documentation • Support post-incident clean-up and follow-up actions 4. Developer Enablement • Reduce operational burden on developers • Help automate repetitive operational tasks • Provide clear guidance on deployment and operational steps • Work with senior technical leadership to improve reliability 5. Access & Security Hygiene (Support Level) • Assist with access reviews and clean-ups • Help improve secrets handling and credential practices • Follow established security and access policies What This Role Is Not • This is not a platform architect role • This is not a greenfield rebuild project • This is not a senior decision-making position • This is not a pure cloud-optimisation role This role focuses on implementation, support, and stabilisation. Required Experience & Skills Core • 2–4 years experience in DevOps, platform, or infrastructure roles • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins or similar) • Basic experience supporting production environments • Comfortable working with Windows-based systems (IIS, .NET) • Knowledge of Linux, serverless technology • Event streaming technologies (KAFKA, RabbitMQ) Infrastructure & Tools (Exposure Level) • Some experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) • Basic familiarity with SQL Server (RDS or self-managed) • Basic understanding of networking and access controls • Exposure to monitoring or logging tools (e.g. CloudWatch, Grafana) • Comfortable following existing standards and playbooks Working Style & Mindset • Reliable and detail-oriented • Willing to learn and take direction • Calm and methodical during incidents • Focused on stability over experimentation • Communicates clearly and documents work Reporting & Support • Reports to Technology / Platform Leadership • Works closely with Engineering and Operations teams • Receives clear technical direction and priorities Job Type: Contract Contract length: 12 months Pay: $5,000.00 - $7,000.00 per month Benefits: • Promotion to permanent employee • Work from home Education: • Local Polytechnic Diploma (Required) Willingness to travel: • 50% (Required) Work Location: Hybrid remote in Singapore 536136
