We are seeking an experienced Pipeline Construction Engineer for a long-term assignment in Oman, working with our esteemed client . The candidate must have a strong background in cross-country pipeline construction and extensive on-site project execution experience. Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Civil/Pipeline EngineeringMinimum 12 years of relevant experience in pipeline constructionDemonstrated project exposure in India and the Middle EastStrong technical knowledge of international codes, standards, specifications, and PDO requirementsProven experience in pipeline installation, welding, hydrotesting, commissioning, and field coordinationAbility to lead site teams, manage contractors, and ensure compliance with quality and HSE standardsExperience in pipeline/flowline construction with sound knowledge of project cost, quality control, and planning systems. Preferably should have experience in Carbon Steel/GRE/DSS & Flexible composite pipelineRole Details:Site-based position in OmanInvolves close coordination with engineering, QA/QC, HSE, and construction teamsGeneral requirement:· Shall have acted as single-point responsible engineer/manager for medium to large pipeline projects (or managed multiple smaller flowline projects concurrently).· Proven ability to lead and motivate multi-disciplinary site teams and subcontractors to deliver works to specification.· Demonstrate sound commercial appreciation, progress control, and risk/issue management.· Well-organized, methodical, and proficient in MS Office; familiarity with AutoCAD and common reporting systems.· Must be PC literate.Specific (Technical competency requirements):· Able to read and interpret the pipeline AFC package and construction scope; review/comment/approve construction Method Statements and ITPs.· Working knowledge of relevant standards/codes (e.g., API/ASME/ISO/AMPP) applicable to welding, coatings, pressure testing, CP, and pipeline construction.· Demonstrate full understanding of activity sequence, prerequisites, and construction readiness.· Explain outputs/benefits of construction survey; define and manage working strip requirements, including solutions for limited spaces.· Define clearing/grading along the route; plan access/haul roads and temporary works.· Trenching methods and equipment selection; trench dimensions for various crossings; separation/clearance to live pipelines/cables; excavation near live assets.· Manage trenching technical, constructability and safety challenges for multi-line corridors, road diversion management, and trenching delays.· Stringing sequence, protection during transport/handling, lifting equipment and spacing/arrangements.· Site cold-bending: machine capabilities, qualifications, per-step degree/thinning calculations, post-bend inspection and acceptance criteria.· Ability to perform/verify bending calculations against design limits and machine constraints.· Qualifications and application requirements: weather windows, surface preparation, application, inspection/testing, and acceptance criteria.· Troubleshoot root causes for Field Joint Coating rejections and implement corrective actions.· Pre/post-padding materials specifications, sources, permits, approvals.· Manage Pipeline hydrotest activities as per project scope.· Lowering calculations, slings/spacing, inspection/safety controls during lowering.· Backfilling/windrow requirements, material specs, compaction and environmental reinstatement.· Temporary and permanent CP installation requirements and verification.· Trenchless methods (e.g., HDD/micro-tunnelling): planning, execution control, and safety compliance.· Manage site queries (SQs/TQs) and route to the correct action party with timely closure.Principal Accountabilities:· Develop construction plans, work packs, WBS, resource schedules, and method statements; maintain variance and issue logs.· Interface with Company’s project engineer and stakeholders to resolve clashes and obtain timely approvals.· Exercise control over manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors; ensure compliance with drawings/specifications and contract requirements.· Prepare and maintain complete QA/QC dossiers, welding/Field Joint Coating logs, hydrotest packs, and as-built documentation, ensuring commissioning readiness.· Train, mentor, and encourage development of Omani personnel for future pipeline engineer roles.Key details of the position:Site-based job without family statusFood, accommodation and transportation will be provided by the companyLeave cycle: 6 months followed by 15 days of paid leave ( Client approved position only)We would like to know:Are you interested in attending an interview and relocating to Oman?Please share yourCurrent salary:Expected Salary:Notice period:Age as on Today:any other benefits you are receiving
