We are looking for a part-time web developer to support ongoing website management, development, and SEO optimization across multiple projects. This role is suited for someone who is highly independent, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with live production websites.
In addition to SEO and maintenance, this position may involve website development work, including feature updates, layout improvements, and occasional full-stack development tasks. You will work closely with our team to maintain site performance, improve search visibility, and implement ongoing updates and enhancements.
Responsibilities
• Manage, maintain, and update websites (content, fixes, performance improvements)
• Develop and implement website features and improvements as needed
• Implement on-page SEO best practices (meta titles, descriptions, content structure, internal linking)
• Improve site speed, performance, and technical SEO
• Update layouts, templates, and components
• Monitor SEO performance and recommend optimizations
• Troubleshoot and resolve front-end and back-end website issues
• Ensure websites remain secure, stable, and up to date
Requirements
• Proven experience in web development and website management
• Strong understanding of SEO best practices, including technical SEO
• Experience with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Working knowledge of back-end development or CMS-based development (WordPress, Shopify, or similar platforms)
• Experience with site performance, indexing, and website structure
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
