Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Okta Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Okta platform architecture, authentication protocols, and cloud identity integrations. This role requires strong technical leadership and the ability to design secure, scalable identity solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement Okta-based IAM solutions including SSO, MFA, lifecycle management, and federation
Architect identity integrations with cloud and on-prem applications
Lead Okta tenant design, configuration, and optimization
Implement authentication and authorization protocols (SAML, OAuth, OIDC, LDAP, SCIM)
Integrate Okta with Active Directory, Azure AD, and other directories
Develop and maintain automation scripts and APIs for identity workflows
Provide architectural guidance for identity governance and security best practices
Troubleshoot complex IAM issues and support production environments
Work closely with security, infrastructure, and application teams
Document architecture, configurations, and implementation processes
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of IT experience with 4+ years in Identity & Access Management
Strong hands-on experience with Okta implementation and architecture
Experience with SSO, MFA, RBAC, and identity lifecycle management
Expertise in SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SCIM
Experience integrating Okta with AWS, Azure, or GCP
Knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP, and directory synchronization
Experience with REST APIs and scripting (PowerShell, Python, or similar)
Strong understanding of security and compliance standards
