About the Role
Workday is looking for an outstanding Manager, Test Automation to join the Product Test Automation leadership team.
Responsibilities and objectives of the role are:
- Implement the strategic vision for Test Automation using our best of breed proprietary Automation tools.
- Lead, and mentor a diverse, globally distributed team of Test Automation Engineers specializing in the creation, curation, and maintenance of automated tests for the Workday Financials Product.
- Implementation of our automation standards policies and processes in line with Workday's product development methodology and standards.
- Define uniform quality expectations by allocating and prioritizing Automation resources in an Agile environment.
- Be highly engaged with multi-functional teams by building relationships, collaborating with, and influencing Development, Product Management, QA, Build Pipeline & DevOps teams.
- Ensure our Build pipeline is operating as efficiently and effectively as possible.
- Establish a culture that continuously strives towards standard processes, measurable outcomes, and operational excellence
- Working towards achieving the established Success Metrics.

About You
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years recent experience managing direct reports.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/ Engineering or equivalent work experience required.
Other Qualifications:
- Strong technical background required. Must have prior programming experience and solid understanding of how to embed test automation in CI/CD pipelines. Must also have experience in all types of testing, including unit, integration, system, functional, non-functional and performance testing.
- Strong background in the design and architecture of automation solutions that enable a shared accountability in quality
- Expertise with continuous integration systems that incorporate fast feedback mechanisms and quality metrics
- Strong people management skills with a proven track record to hire, coach, and grow talent within your team(s).
- Strong leadership, influence, and thought leadership skills
- Able to deep dive into technical areas when needed but also up level communications to a broader audience.
- Must be proficient with Atlassian tools like JIRA & Confluence.
