Work you'll do
The Technical Lead (System Integration) is responsible for end‑to‑end technical leadership of a system integration project, including leading a technical delivery team to perform technical design, development and deployment as well as managing 3rd‑party vendor. The role is expected to perform detailed technical design and excellent team management and fluent communication with the customer and vendor.
• Lead the technical design and implementation of web portals and BPM solutions in line with enterprise architecture and security standards.
• Translate functional requirements into technical requirements and design for development.
• Own end‑to‑end integration delivery: development oversight, code reviews, system integration testing, security testing, operational acceptance testing, and production rollout and support.
• Work closely with project managers, business analysts, development lead, 3rd‑party vendors, and the customer IT teams to define scope, estimates, delivery plans, and resolve technical issues or risks.
• Define and enforce integration best practices, coding standards, DevOps pipelines, and documentation for reusable interfaces and services.
• Provide day‑to‑day managing and coaching to the development team (onshore and offshore), including task assignment, progress tracking, and technical mentoring.
• Ensure non‑functional requirements (performance, resilience, observability, security, data privacy) are addressed in designs and implementations.
• Coordinate troubleshooting and root cause analysis for defects and production incidents, driving permanent fixes and continuous improvements.

We are looking for someone with
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 7–10+ years of IT experience with at least 3–5 years in system integration or middleware projects, and prior experience acting as technical lead.
• Strong communication and presentation skills and capable to lead and facilitate technical meetings and discussion with various parties.
• Strong hands‑on experience with common integration technologies, such as REST/SOAP APIs, ETL/data integration tools, and PostgreSql databases.
• Solid understanding of integration patterns (synchronous/asynchronous, batch processing, API gateway) and enterprise architecture concepts.
• Practical exposure to CI/CD, Git, automated testing are highly preferred.
• Experience working with financial institutions or regulated industries in Hong Kong is an advantage, including familiarity with data privacy, cybersecurity, and resiliency requirements.
• Strong spoken and written skills in English; proficiency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is an advantage for working with local stakeholders and vendors.
• Capable to learn fast and work under pressure.
Nice‑to‑have / optional
• Experience with major workflow automation, web portal development and cloud platforms, e.g. AWS.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, cloud certifications, or vendor‑specific integration/middleware certifications).
