About the position
As a Live Scan Technician , you’ll be the on-site point person delivering Live Scan fingerprinting services at NNA seminars in accordance with Department of Justice guidelines, while also supporting on-site sales of NNA products. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being out in the field since you’ll be on the road frequently , traveling to seminar locations throughout the greater Los Angeles area. A full-time, flexible schedule is required, with open availability Monday through Saturday. Responsibilities
• Provide Live Scan services (includes fingerprint scans and passport photos) at NNA seminars as scheduled
• Frequent travel to NNA Seminars, with some overnight travel as needed
• Manage customer service items on-site (taking payments, going over client orders)
• Generate records/logs for each seminar and send to coordinator per requirements
• Work with seminar training staff to resolve customer service issues
• Monitor supply needs (i.e., photo paper/ink, batteries) and provide adequate feedback to coordinator when supplies are needed
• Properly maintain and store Live Scan equipment
• Contribute to a positive working environment making this the Best Job Ever for self and others
Requirements
• Diploma or equivalent
• Current Live Scan certificate or the ability to obtain one including a background check in accordance with Department of Justice guidelines to perform Live Scan services
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work with the public
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Valid driver’s license and car insurance, as well as reliable transportation to travel to seminar locations is required
• Reliable at-home internet connection to perform work related duties as needed.
• Ability to work both independently and with a team, as well the ability to self-motivate
• Must be computer savvy including MS Office, email, web-based programs, software applications, etc.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, Monday – Saturday, with some overnight travel
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 lb. frequently for Live Scan equipment
• Ability to drive and commute for long periods as needed.
• Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 25 lb. for equipment in and out of seminar presentations.
