Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic Lead Solutions Architect (LSA) to champion application and product architecture. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor within your domain, guiding the development of innovative solutions and technology strategies that align with business needs, architectural principles, and technology standards. While you won't have direct reports, strong leadership skills are essential for influencing and guiding teams towards success.
As an LSA, you will collaborate closely with product architecture teams to make informed decisions regarding new technologies and design options. Your insights will help identify and alleviate technical complexities that could impact long-term product goals. When necessary, you will also evaluate new vendor products and engage in hands-on Proof of Concepts.
In addition to offering mentorship to other architects on best practices and governance processes, you will play a pivotal role in shaping architectural concepts, designs, and product roadmaps that align with U.S. Bank's business strategy and technological vision. Building strong relationships with technology leaders, stakeholders, and architects is crucial for your success.
As part of your responsibilities, you will drive continuous improvement within the architecture practice by identifying new patterns and recommending enhancements to current procedures.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• A minimum of eight years of relevant experience
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in architecture
• Experience with Agile Product Development and DevOps principles
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with working alongside technology leaders
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively within and across teams
• Knowledge of architecture frameworks and methodologies
Preferred Skills/Experience
• Enterprise Architecture experience
• Hands-on experience in cloud architecture design and infrastructure
• Preferred certifications in Azure and/or AWS
• TOGAF certification
• Familiarity with FFIEC regulatory guidelines related to architectural practices
• Understanding of application architecture, integration patterns, and domain-driven microservices
• Ability to influence technology leaders and drive the adoption of modern engineering practices
• Experience in creating reference architectures and patterns

This position offers flexibility with a hybrid schedule, requiring in-office attendance of three or more days per week, while allowing for remote work on the remaining days.
