Job Title: Infrastructure Architect

Position Summary
The Manager, Infrastructure & Workplace Technology is a hands-on technical leader responsible for the design, reliability, performance, and evolution of the company’s infrastructure, network, and end-user computing environment. This role manages and mentors technical resources while remaining actively engaged in technical decision-making, escalations, and platform ownership—particularly across the Microsoft ecosystem. This position balances people leadership, technical depth, and operational accountability, ensuring a high-quality end-user experience while maintaining secure, scalable infrastructure services.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & People Management
• Lead, mentor, and develop infrastructure, network, and end-user computing technical resources
• Set clear expectations, priorities, and performance goals for the team
• Act as a technical escalation point and decision-maker
• Foster a culture of accountability, documentation, and continuous improvement
• Partner with Security, Applications, and Business stakeholders to align technology outcomes with business needs
Infrastructure & Network Ownership
• Own core infrastructure services including servers (on-prem and/or cloud), storage, backups, and identity platforms
• Oversee network services including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and internet connectivity
• Ensure availability, performance, and resilience of infrastructure and network services
• Manage vendors, MSPs, and service providers as needed
Workplace & End User Technology
• Own the end-user computing experience including:
o Endpoint devices (Windows, mobile)
o Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
o Endpoint management (Intune, configuration, patching)
• Partner with Service Desk to reduce recurring issues through RCA and improvements
Microsoft Platform & Cloud Services
• Serve as technical owner for Microsoft platforms, including:
o Entra ID / Azure AD (identity, access, conditional access)
o Microsoft 365
o Intune / Endpoint Management
o Azure infrastructure and services (as applicable)
• Define standards, architecture patterns, and operational best practices
• Evaluate and integrate tools that enhance endpoint, identity, and infrastructure visibility and security
Qualifications
• 7+ years of experience in infrastructure, network, or end-user computing roles
• 3+ years in a technical leadership and people management role
• Understanding of ITIL, desktop support, and collaboration tools
• Experience in hybrid cloud and Azure environment
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft enterprise platform
• Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi/VPN)
• Experience managing vendors and service providers
• Ability to translate technical complexity into business-relevant outcomes
