IT Executive - Fleet We are looking for an experience IT Executive (Fleet) for our client. He/she will be responsible for ensuring smooth system operations on board the company vessels. The ideal candidate should be proactive, possess strong problem-solving skills, and have experience with Microsoft Office 365, MS Server products, and IT security. Sailing experience and knowledge of ITIL are advantageous. Responsibilities This role is to ensure smooth system operations on board the company vessels. The function is responsible for the following technical support scope of work: · Responsible for installation, maintenance and repair of onboard computer networks, systems, and hardware; · Installation and setup of IT system for new building and takeover ships. · Training of Senior Officers in communication cost control, IT policies on ship, activity report etc. · Responsible for supporting all system maintenance, troubleshooting and upgrading of all computers and servers onboard. · Deliver remote and onboard IT support services (including troubleshooting, PC setup, Networking, Satellite Communication, etc.). · Board vessels (at international ports) to provide onboard support for issues that cannot be resolved remotely. · Addressing system enquiries when on board the Ships. · Assist with computer hardware / software installation and configuration. · Communication system check (perform Firmware update if required). · Check the business applications on all network computers to ensure they are working satisfactory. · Ensure endpoint security is online and computer systems in business network and data backup are done accordingly. · Verify the network on board is working satisfactorily (network sharing, remote desktop, firewall, Wi-Fi, etc). · Installation of update / patches on IT system. · Inventory check on IT systems on board. · Conduct Cybersecurity drill. · Check if latest backup and file sync via NAS is operational. · Record job done with photos and provide summary report. · Any other duties as and when assigned by the superiors. Requirement: · Diploma / Degree in Marine Electronics Engineering /Computer Science or its equivalent. · Preferably 1- 2 years relevant experience in networking or marine field computer systems. · Knowledge in ITIL. · Experience in working in a multinational ship management company. · Good interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills. · Good communication skills and able to work independently with minimum supervision. · Pro-active, dynamic, dedicated and responsible self-starter with strong customer orientation and multi-tasking capabilities · Good knowledge in Microsoft Office 365, MS Server products, Networking and security domain. · Sailing experience is an advantage.
