Summary :
Join Meta AI as a Research Scientist Intern, where you will be at the forefront of spoken language technology! Our mission is to enhance communication by developing advanced machine learning and AI solutions that connect communities worldwide. Engage in innovative research and help design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge algorithms across Meta's platforms, with a strong emphasis on leveraging large language models (LLMs) to drive speech-LLM-based products. The internship spans 12 to 24 weeks, with multiple start dates throughout the year.
Responsibilities :
Conduct research to further the capabilities of intelligent machines.
Create novel and effective speech algorithms and systems using deep learning and big data.
Deliver research applicable to the development of Meta products.
Enhance the efficiency, scalability, and stability of deployed AI systems.
Collaborate closely with team members throughout the prototype and production phases.
Minimum Qualifications :
Pursuing or have obtained a PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, or a comparable field.
Research or professional experience in machine learning, deep learning, and speech technology.
Experience in training deep neural networks for various speech tasks such as recognition, translation, synthesis, and more.
Proficient in Python programming.
Familiarity with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
Authorization to work in the employment country at the time of hire and maintain throughout the internship.
Preferred Qualifications :
Demonstrated success in research through grants, fellowships, patents, or first-authored publications at esteemed conferences such as Interspeech, ACL, ICASSP, etc.
Experience with speech-based LLMs.
Skilled in analyzing high-volume, complex datasets from diverse sources.
Able to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
Intent to return to academic studies following the internship.
Public Compensation :
$7,650 / month to $12,134 / month plus benefits.
