The Infrastructure Technical Lead is responsible for leading, designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure IT infrastructure environments across on-premises and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS). The role ensures operational excellence, system reliability, and alignment of infrastructure solutions with business objectives while providing technical leadership to network, systems, and cloud engineering teams. Infrastructure Management · Lead and track tasks related to the infrastructure team, including network, system, and cloud engineers/administrators. · Design, deploy, and maintain infrastructure components — servers, storage, networks, cloud services, virtualization, and backup systems. · Oversee hybrid environments (on-premises and cloud). · Ensure system performance, scalability, and high availability. · Implement and manage disaster recovery and business continuity strategies, including replication and DR sites. · Define and enforce IT infrastructure standards, policies, and compliance frameworks. · Evaluate, select, and integrate new technologies, vendors, and tools. · Manage vendor relationships, SLAs, and contracts. · Develop and maintain infrastructure roadmaps aligned with organizational IT strategy. · Provide escalation-level technical support for complex infrastructure issues. Project Support & Delivery · Collaborate with project managers and business stakeholders to define infrastructure requirements, timelines, and deliverables. · Prepare technical designs, architecture diagrams, and implementation roadmaps. · Support infrastructure-related projects from planning to delivery. · Conduct risk assessments, testing, and validation for new solutions. · Provide hands-on support during migrations, cutovers, and upgrades to minimize downtime. · Monitor and report project progress and escalate issues as necessary. · Ensure proper handover of completed projects to operational support teams. Documentation & Governance · Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), architecture documentation, and project records. · Contribute to infrastructure strategy, capacity planning, and budgeting. · Support IT audits and compliance reviews by providing relevant infrastructure documentation and evidence.
