About The Role
In this contingent assignment, you will support complex, large-scale initiatives within Specialty Software Engineering. You will provide technical expertise on high-impact projects, evaluate multi-dimensional engineering challenges, and help drive solutions that align with organizational policies, compliance standards, and long-term strategic goals. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders and strong problem-solving across diverse technical domains.
Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
• Consult on complex engineering initiatives with broad organizational impact, ensuring alignment with strategic planning and long-term technology goals.
• Evaluate and analyze large-scale, multi-faceted engineering challenges involving technical ambiguity, cross-system dependencies, and unprecedented scenarios.
• Develop solutions to sophisticated engineering problems requiring a deep understanding of processes, compliance requirements, and best practices.
• Partner strategically with client teams and internal stakeholders to guide long-term technical decisions and ensure successful delivery.
Primary Technical Responsibilities
• Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure and services.
• Support and administer a highly available platform composed of:
• Object Storage
• OpenShift
• Apache Spark
• Apache Iceberg
• Yunikorn Scheduler
• Trino
• Monitor and remediate configuration drift; enforce infrastructure governance and policies.
• Configure and monitor Big Data ecosystem components, integrating BI and observability tools as needed.
• Develop automated regression and performance test suites to ensure platform health and reliability.
• Implement and manage security protocols, including:
• OAuth authentication
• TLS encryption
• Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
Minimum Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in Specialty Software Engineering or equivalent demonstrated experience through a combination of:
• Professional work or consulting
• Technical training
• Military experience
• Relevant education
