Information Technology Security Engineer (Cloud)
Duration: 2 Years + 3 Optional Periods
Location: Remote
Security Clearance: Secret Altis Technology is seeking Information Technology Security Engineer for a contract opportunity with one of our Federal Government Clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement secure cloud and hybrid architectures (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
• Support cloud modernization projects including DPM3, HIP, CXP, CMP, and more
• Evaluate and implement cloud security tools, protocols, and controls
• Conduct risk assessments, security architecture reviews, and compliance analysis
• Assist in network issue resolution and advise on cloud perimeter defense
• Lead security documentation and reporting, including threat analysis and mitigation planning
• Deliver training, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to internal staff
Must-Have:
• At least 5 years of experience in cloud security, platform services, and tenant operations
• Active Secret Clearance (Government of Canada)
Highly Valued Experience (Rated):
• 7+ years securing AWS/Azure cloud platforms and implementing security technologies (WAF, firewalls, IAM, DNS, SSO, etc.)
• Experience with GC Secure Cloud-to-Ground (SC2G) connectivity
• Strong documentation, compliance, and risk mitigation background
• Familiarity with Government of Canada IT security standards
