Role: IBM Sterling System Engineer
Location:
Toronto, ON Onsite
6-12 months Contract
Key Responsibilities:
Create and update Trading Partners, routing rules, service configurations, adapters, and busine process
Support deployment activities such as code changes, maps, BP updates etc.
Monitor sterling file transfer flows, queues, BP execution, system health, and availability.
Perform root cause analysis and resolve incidents within SLA timelines.
Handle escalated incidents
Manage encryption and security configurations (PGP, SSL, SSH etc).
Provide Level 2 support for IBM Sterling File Gateway and related MFT components.
Support production environments on a rotational 24/7 on-call basis.
Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and security teams to ensure seamless operations.
Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
Participate in change management processes using Service Now.
Required
Skills & Experience:
Working Experience in IBM SFG, B2B integrator, CCM, SSP-CM, SEAS.
Strong knowledge of file transfer protocols: FTP, SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, AS2.
Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting.
Experience with dynatrace for monitoring and log analysis.
Exposure to container platforms (e.g., Open Shift) is a plus.
Experience with Dev Sec Ops tools like Git Hub and YAML formatting.
