YOUR CHALLENGE
The lack of proper engineering and operations of IBM Tivoli Monitoring leads to an increased risk that errors, failures of other critical situations in our complex and broad application- and systems landscape remain undetected and are not being alerted in time. Business processes might be impacted due to late detection of root causes and errors. The IBM monitoring and event management tools ensure an accurate identification of the root cause of an incident or business application failure, avoiding or at least minimizing downtime.
System Engineer with focus on the Banks Event Monitoring solution IBM Tivoli Monitoring and Event Management Tools. Typical tasks are system maintenance, software lifecycle and upgrades, scripting, implementation of customer requests, creation of dashboards, in-depth debugging and optimization of the software that potentially ingests 10'000s of events per day. On duty work, multiple weeks per year, is part of this function.
YOUR PROFILE
• University degree in computer science or a comparable level of education
• Unix administration
• Scripting (perl, bash, javascript)
• Experienced in at least one programming language
• Worked with middleware before
• Experience with the administration of virtual containers
• Is used to work with version control software & documents code changes.
• Experience with IBM Software products
• API Technologies
• Network Infrastructure
• DBMS
• Abstract thinking

• Fast learner
• Conscientious
• Fluent in English
• Speaks German, at least on B2 level
• ITIL Foundation Certification
