An opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Operations Supervisor to oversee hospital pharmacy activities within a dynamic acute care setting. This contract role is based in San Francisco, CA, with a duration of 13 weeks or longer. The position offers a Monday through Friday day shift schedule without weekend work. The environment utilizes the EPIC electronic medical record system to streamline operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage pharmacy workflow and scheduling to optimize department efficiency.
• Review and enforce pharmacy policies to ensure compliance and safety.
• Provide training support on IV competencies and maintain knowledge of USP standards.
• Organize and conduct staff meetings to facilitate communication and continuous improvement.
• Support the use and integration of software tools including Excel, Word, and BD suite systems such as Pyxis and C2 Safe.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
• Licensed Pharmacist in the State of California.
• Graduation from an accredited school of Pharmacy is preferred; Pharm.D. degree and/or completion of an ASHP-accredited residency program is advantageous.
• Minimum of two years of leadership experience within an acute care hospital pharmacy setting.
• Strong skills in scheduling, workflow management, and policy review.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and pharmacy-specific software applications.
