Key Responsibilities
• Lead the design, build and evolution of Cathay’s enterprise infrastructure, ensuring cloud services, networks, data centres, devices and end user technologies operate with reliability, resilience and clarity of purpose. The work involves setting clear long term roadmaps, ensuring vendor‑supported platforms and creating environments where systems and services scale with the needs of a global business
• Provide overall direction for corporate cybersecurity strategy, governance and operational practice. This includes translating frameworks such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS, NIST and ITIL into controls that work in day‑to‑day operations. You oversee threat management, uplift capability after cyber events and shape the organisation’s approach to risk and protection
• The remit covers 24x7 IT operations by guiding teams managing application services, infrastructure operations, monitoring, Help Desk and ITSM processes. Through clear service levels, consistent performance management, automation, DevOps and DevSecOps practices and data‑led decision making, which helps the organisation respond with speed, stability and confidence
• Foster an organisation that thrives on accountability, depth of expertise and inclusive leadership, by building capability, guiding multi‑disciplinary teams and create a culture where technical excellence and customer service sit side by side. The stewardship ensures the technology foundation supporting our people, customers and partners remains strong today and ready for tomorrow
Requirements
• Tertiary educated in relevant disciplines
• Minimum 20 years of relevant work experiences, preferably in sizable multinational organisation
• Minimum 10 years of management experiences with minimum 5 years in senior level management role leading multi-disciplinary teams (Infrastructure, Operations, Networks, Cloud, Security, Service Management)
• Experience managing budgets, vendor portfolios, and strategic sourcing (RFPs, contract negotiation, SLAs/OLAs, managed services)
• Proven capability to lead in matrix organisations, influencing across business units, shared services, and subsidiaries
• Demonstrated ability to manage material cyber incidents, including executive decision-making, crisis comms alignment, regulatory considerations, and post-incident uplift
• Experience in aligning to common frameworks (ISO 27001/2, PCI DSS, NIST, ITIL), and translating them into practical controls that “work in operations.”
• Strong influencing skills across executives and business leaders to drive adoption of standards, secure funding, and ensure consistent governance
• Capability to build a high-performing, inclusive organisation: recruitment, succession planning, coaching, performance management, capability development
• Able to delegate and empower effectively, leveraging influence across teams and stakeholders to drive accountability, ownership, and a culture of operational excellence
• Capability to foster an inclusive culture and lead large teams through change with clear accountability and motivation
