Role Summary: The FX Risk IT Support Analyst is a key member of the Global Information Technology organization, responsible for frontline support of FX trading, booking, and risk platforms across the Americas. As part of a global 24-hour support model, the role works closely with teams in London and New York to ensure seamless, high-quality support for the bank’s global FX trading business. This position supports a diverse ecosystem of applications across linear and non-linear FX, including Sigma, Orchestrade, Barracuda, IRIS, DealHub, Asgard, GMD PS, and THOR, ensuring system stability, rapid issue resolution, and proactive communication with traders, sales, middle office, risk, and back office users. Key Responsibilities: • Build strong relationships with Front Office, Middle Office/Risk, and Back Office stakeholders while maintaining communication with third-party vendors and internal IT partners. • Provide daily high-quality user support, ensuring prompt resolution of incidents, timely communication, and coordination during major production events. • Collaborate with global FX Risk IT support teams, conducting daily handovers to ensure smooth follow-the-sun coverage of production issues. • Take full ownership of production incidents—propose solutions, implement fixes, and track issues to prevent recurrence. • Perform proactive system monitoring to detect issues early, often before they impact the trading business. • Enforce strict change management procedures to maintain production stability while supporting rapid functional and technical enhancements. • Partner with project and development teams to provide level 3 production support when needed. • Participate in Disaster Recovery (DRP), Business Continuity (BCP), regulatory, and compliance-related exercises. • Contribute to regular reporting deliverables (local and global), including ITSC and OpCo monthly reports. • Produce system documentation and provide user training, ensuring adequate knowledge transfer and cross-training within the IT team. Communication & Stakeholder Interaction Key Internal Contacts: • Front Office FX trading and sales teams • Global Risk FX IT Support teams (London, New York) • FX filiere teams across regional FO/MO/BO, and risk system managers • Other IT support teams across the front-to-back chain • Infrastructure teams (database, server, network, etc.) across CACIB and CAGIP Key External Contacts: • Vendors supporting Orchestrade, Barracuda, DealHub, and infrastructure solutions Compliance Responsibilities: • Adhere to all regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including those related to financial crime and certification of competence • Complete mandatory training and remain fully qualified for the role • Comply with all conduct rules applicable to regulated functions Role Requirements Functional Experience: • Minimum 3 years of hands-on support or project experience with FX trading applications. • Ability to manage multiple competing requests from demanding users. • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users. • Informal leadership experience in production situations or small project deliveries. • Deep understanding of FX products: Spot, Forwards, Swaps, NDFs, FX Options, and lifecycle processes. • Knowledge of P&L, VaR, stressed VaR, sensitivities, and risk management concepts. Technical Experience: • Experience supporting systems on Windows Server (services, IIS, scheduled tasks). • Experience with UNIX environments, including navigation, reading shell/Perl scripts. • Proficiency with SQL: writing queries, reading stored procedures, understanding query optimization. • Experience supporting batch systems (e.g., Control-M). • Familiarity with system monitoring tools such as ITRS Geneos. Product Experience: • Expertise across FX product sets including Spot, Options, NDFs, Forwards, Precious Metals, and Swaps. • Strong knowledge of risk metrics, sensitivities, and P&L calculations for FX Options. Qualifications & Skills: • Degree in Computer Science or related discipline. • Experience in Front Office IT on buy-side or sell-side environments. • Specialist training in Orchestrade, Sigma, Barracuda, Asgard, and IRIS. • Strong communication skills, teamwork ability, leadership capabilities, and resilience under pressure. • Solid technical expertise paired with strong understanding of PnL and Risk Management.
