About the Role
We're hiring a Founding CTO (Chief Technology Officer) for a stealth-mode fintech startup building a next-generation B2B payments platform. Backed by experienced fintech founders and investors, the company is looking for a hands‑on technical leader to take full ownership of the product and tech roadmap from day one.
Your role
• Define and lead the technology architecture and roadmap
• Build and manage the engineering team
• Develop scalable payment infrastructure and API integrations
• Ensure platform performance, security, and compliance (PCI‑DSS, GDPR)
• Collaborate with co‑founders, clients, and regulators
• Stay close to new technologies and adjust the roadmap accordingly
Requirements
• Proven leadership in a senior engineering or CTO role, ideally in fintech/payments
• Experience with payment systems, FX, wallets, and third‑party APIs
• Cloud‑first mindset (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Familiarity with regulatory environments
• Experience building in fast‑paced, early‑stage environments
• Knowledge of event‑driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Understanding of the GCC fintech landscape
• Remote‑first setup for the first 12 months; Relocation to Dubai depending on team setup
