Responsibilities of Field Systems Engineer: Your expertise spans across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building mechanical systems, allowing you to seamlessly tackle maintenance tasks within our building. Your focus on delivering superior quality will uphold optimal functionality of Verizon's building systems. • Responsibilities include operating, maintaining, and repairing a range of heating and cooling plants and their related equipment like air handlers and refrigeration units. • Repairing and servicing motor controllers and the corresponding electrical equipment and control systems. • The job entails the setup, repair, and adjustment of a wide array of pneumatic and/or electric controls indispensable for running temperature and humidity regulation systems. • Completing inspections and undertaking necessary maintenance on machinery or systems as per company practices and applicable regulations. • Analyzing and deciphering the structure of sentences, operating manuals, visual guides, architectural designs, and technical blueprints of machinery. • Climbing up vertical supports, operating at high elevations, and transporting items typically not exceeding 100 pounds. • Following a flexible work timetable that encompasses evenings, weekends, holidays, and unplanned shifts as outlined by the business. • Employees are expected to work a standard shift from 7am until 4pm on weekdays, but the exact hours may be subject to change. Qualification of Field Systems Engineer: You know HVAC and other building systems like the back of your hand, and are anxious to put your knowledge and skills to work for the V Team. You like to be busy and well-organized to stay on top of things. You take pride in a job well done because you know better matters • An official refrigeration license and the competence to pass, obtain, and continuously uphold a current fitness certificate pertinent to tasks like fire standpipe, sprinkler, welding, oil burner, or air compressor utilization. • Technicians are required to attain the Universal Technician Certification as per the EPA regulations detailed in 40 CFR Part 82 Subpart H to ensure proper handling and disposal of regulated substances. • Valid driver's license with no major infractions is necessary. • Required vocational or technical education or a work history totaling three years or more in the relevant field.
