Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Workplace Engineer to support and enhance the modern workplace environment. This role focuses on deploying, supporting, and optimizing end-user technologies to ensure a productive, secure, and reliable user experience.
The successful candidate will provide advanced technical support across Endpoint, Cloud, and collaboration platforms, and play a key role in supporting modern workplace initiatives. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on technical capability, and the ability to work closely with users and cross-functional IT teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide timely and effective support by responding to service desk tickets and technical incidents
• Monitor and respond to alerts from endpoint and device management platforms
• Deliver second and third-level support for end-user issues across applications, hardware, operating systems, and connectivity
• Install, configure, and maintain workplace hardware, software, and productivity tools
• Prepare and deploy workstations for new joiners, including system setup, software installation, and peripheral configuration
• Perform regular system maintenance, patching, and updates to ensure performance, security, and stability
• Work closely with other IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
• Communicate clearly with end users to understand requirements and provide appropriate solutions
• Support and contribute to ongoing improvements in workplace tools, processes, and automation
Requirements
Qualifications
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in end-user computing, workplace engineering, or a similar role
• Strong working knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems
• Experience supporting cloud productivity platforms such as Microsoft 365 and Office 365
• Familiarity with cloud services including Azure and AWS
• Hands-on experience with endpoint management solutions such as Intune, SCCM, Ivanti, or equivalent tools
• Experience supporting virtual desktop solutions such as VMware Horizon, Windows 365 Cloud PC, Workspace ONE, or Citrix
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
• Experience with mobile device management (MDM) solutions
• Knowledge of IT service management frameworks such as ITIL
Advanced / Value-Add Skills
• Experience with collaboration and security platforms such as SharePoint, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview, DLP, and AWS Connect
• Exposure to automation tools such as Power Automate
• Scripting experience, particularly PowerShell
Certifications
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, or Microsoft Endpoint Administrator Associate
• Additional certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate, SharePoint, AWS Cloud Practitioner, or AI-related certifications are an advantage
