Qatar Airways are excited to be launching a new opportunity to join our Talent and Development team as an E-Learning Instructional Design Specialist.
Other operational duties will include:
- Analyzing learning aims and objectives and working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to design learning & development (digital & blended) solutions
- Application of instructional design theories and practicing development of storyboard and design conceptualization. Revise and rewrite content to ensure employee learning and development needs are defined.
- Incorporating multimedia assets such as: audio, video, animation, demonstration, and simulation. Development of a varied range of assessment items to test learning objectives.
- Demonstrating expertise in developing a range of instructional materials, including: eLearning, Virtual Learning, references guide, scenario case studies, assessments and evaluations.
- Discussing ideas for images, graphics and animations with eLearning team before proceeding with development.
- Production and effective review of well-written storyboards, audio and video scripts to produce high quality course assets.
- Effective cooperation with colleagues to create compelling and engaging learning and development deliverables.
- Planning and recording time, meeting deadlines and managing multiple projects at a time with internal and external customers and partners.
- Identify projects risks and manage them in consultation with line manager.
- Working with SMEs to script, storyboard, develop, produce and review and implement learning and development (digital & blended) solutions.
- Liaise with technology teams to ensure smooth implementation.
- Support line management in measuring the impact of releasing the solution/deliverable based on agreed KPIs and success criteria.

About You
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent,
- Minimum 5-7 years of job-related experience,
- Instructional design qualifications,
- Expertise in learning-experience design,
- In-depth understanding of adaptive and mobile-responsive design principles,
- Experience in managing complex projects,
- Solid interpersonal skills,
- Critical eye for detail,
- Logical approach to fault finding, developing solutions and taking corrective actions,
- Excellent written and oral communication skills,
- Comfortable in working with new technology, learning management system and analytical tools,
- Experience in working in a multi-cultural environment,
- Expertise working with e-learning tools, such as Articulate, Captivate; Adobe Suite, as well as productivity tools.
Preferred qualifications (Not essential but good to have)
- Aviation or IT or Training industry experience,
- Experience with e-learning authoring tools.
