Delivery Associate

Docker Transport Inc. – Annacis Island, Delta, BC Full-time Early morning starts (some around 6:00 AM) About the Role Docker Transport is looking for reliable, safety‑focused Delivery Associates to join our 5‑ton appliance and furniture delivery team. You'll work with a partner to complete residential and job‑site deliveries while providing professional, courteous service to our customers. This is a physically demanding, hands‑on role ideal for candidates who take pride in safe driving, careful handling, and getting the job done right the first time. What You'll Do As a Delivery Associate, your day includes: • Operating a 5‑ton truck on assigned routes • Completing residential and builder‑site deliveries on time • Loading/unloading appliances and furniture using lifting tools • Performing pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections • Securing loads properly for damage‑free transport • Using smartphone apps (DispatchTrack, Omnitracs, HomeBase) to manage routes, photos, and signatures • Communicating clearly with dispatch when plans change • Following safety procedures and maintaining PPE standards • Working with your delivery partner to move items safely and efficiently • Assembling or installing items such as pedestals, stacking kits, or furniture when required What We're Looking For To be successful in this role, you must have: Required • Valid Class 5 driver's licence • Minimum 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience operating a 5‑ton or comparable vehicle • Ability to lift 50–100 lbs repeatedly using safe techniques • Strong safety awareness and experience using common lifting tools • Reliable transportation to Annacis Island (Delta, BC) • Comfort working outdoors in all weather • Strong communication and customer‑service mindset • Ability to use smartphone apps throughout the day Assets (Nice to Have) • Experience assembling furniture, appliances, or hardware • Experience delivering large items to residential homes or job sites • Familiarity with delivery‑routing or dispatch apps Why Drivers Choose Docker • Consistent weekday schedules • Supportive dispatch team • Professional, respectful working environment What to Expect in the Hiring Process • Quick questions to confirm licensing, experience, and availability • Online pre‑screen questionnaire questions) • Driving record submission (ICBC) • Interview with Hiring Manager How to Apply Before applying, please take a moment to review and update your resume so it clearly shows your commercial driving experience, including all of the following: • Employer names • Truck sizes you operated (e.g., 5‑ton, 3‑ton, cube van) • Driving duties such as deliveries, inspections, load securement, customer interaction, or route work • Dates of employment with month and year Providing a complete and detailed resume helps us avoid unnecessary back‑and‑forth and ensures your application can be evaluated quickly.
