Amentum is looking to fill a Data Science Intern position within the JETS II Science and Exploration Department with University of Las Vegas, a subcontractor company. Please note that this role requires on-site work at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. The internship will run approximately from May 16 to August 14, 2026. This is a temporary position, lasting no longer than 14 weeks. The Data Science Intern will: • Collaborate with computer scientists and engineers to develop models that assess risk • Contribute to projects focused on risk-bounded planning for human planetary exploration • Create code that supports the development of concepts for robotic and human exploration on the Moon or Mars • Utilize skills in machine learning, artificial intelligence, autonomy research, programming, and data science
