We have partnered with a financial services company to hire a Data Platform Manager who will lead the evolution of their enterprise data platform. This is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping data infrastructure, governance, and integration across the business.
You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the data platform is scalable, secure, and fit for both regulatory and commercial needs.
About the role:
• Own and develop the company's end-to-end data platform across cloud and on-prem environments
• Lead a team of data engineers and architects, fostering best practices and technical excellence
• Design and implement scalable pipelines, integrations, and real-time data flows
• Embed governance, security, and quality controls into all aspects of the data lifecycle
• Work with business units to translate data into actionable insights and value
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies to keep the platform future-ready
About you:
• Strong knowledge of modern data architecture, ETL/data integration methods, and cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake, or Databricks)
• Comfortable working with SQL and applying robust data modelling practices
• Familiar with Master Data Management (MDM), data quality management, cataloguing, and governance tools
• A strategic thinker with hands-on technical skills and leadership experience
• Proven ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience in financial services or other regulated environments is advantageous
