Position Overview: We are seeking a talented Data Engineering Specialist to design, build, and maintain our enterprise Data Warehouse (DWH) and analytics environment, with an emphasis on facilitating AI-driven insights, automation, and enterprise-level AI application. In this pivotal role, you will create scalable data pipelines, enhance data quality and reliability, and establish robust data frameworks that support advanced tools like Microsoft Copilot, Power BI, and AI-enhanced analytics across the organization. Your collaboration with business stakeholders, analysts, and IT teams will be essential as you modernize our data landscape, integrate complex data sources, and facilitate advanced analytics initiatives. Your contributions will directly influence business decision-making, reporting capabilities, and the development of next-generation AI functionalities built upon our Data Warehouse. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and sustain Data Warehouse architecture, including ETL/ELT pipelines, staging layers, and data marts. • Create and manage ETL workflows utilizing SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and a variety of data integration tools. • Integrate and transform data from multiple systems, notably ERP platforms like NetSuite. • Optimize SQL scripts, stored procedures, and data transformations for performance and scalability. • Enhance Power BI dashboards and other BI/reporting systems. • Implement data quality checks, automation, and monitoring processes. • Work with business and analytics teams to convert requirements into scalable data solutions. • Contribute to data governance, standardization, and documentation practices. • Support emerging AI initiatives to ensure model-ready data quality and semantic alignment with AI tools. Required Qualifications • Demonstrated experience with Data Warehouse design and development (ETL/ELT, star schema, SCD, staging, data marts). • Proficient in SSIS for constructing and managing ETL workflows. • Expertise in SQL and experience with Microsoft SQL Server. • Familiarity with Power BI or other BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Qlik). • Understanding of data modeling, performance optimization, and relational database design. • Knowledge of Python, Airflow, or Azure Data Factory for data orchestration and automation. • Excellent analytical and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP). • Insight into data security, governance, and compliance (GDPR, SOC2). • Familiarity with API integrations and real-time data ingestion. • Background in finance, supply chain, or e-commerce analytics. • Experience with NetSuite ERP or other ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, etc.). AI Focused Preferred Skills: • Experience in implementing AI-driven analytics or automation in Data Warehouses. • Hands-on use of Microsoft Copilot, Power BI Copilot, or Copilot Studio for SQL, DAX, data modeling, and insights. • Knowledge of building RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) models or AI-assisted query patterns in SQL Server, Synapse, or Azure SQL. • Understanding of LLM interactions with enterprise data, including grounding and semantic models. • Experience utilizing AI tools to enhance ETL/ELT workflows and streamline data design. • Exposure to AI-driven data quality monitoring, anomaly detection, or pipeline validation tools. • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, semantic modeling, or ML-integrated analytics environments.
