The role:
My client are looking for a knowledgeable Data Center Engineer to join their team.
You will be based on site at a Data Center location in New Jersey, providing all round Data Center based support for an enterprise environment.
The role will involve shift work: 2pm-10pm Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm on a Saturday (5 days shift within this).
The successful candidate will have either an Associates or Bachelors degree.
Core responsibilities:
• * Racking
• Cooling
• Power distribution
• Patching
• Cabling
• Moves and Changes
• Hardware troubleshooting / Break-Fix
• New hardware installation
• Decommissioning
• Inventory management
Experience required:
• * Ideally 5-10 years experience working within Data Center environments
• Flexibility to work the required shifts
• Associates or Bachelors degree
• Good all round Data Center knowledge around the duties above
• Understanding of Linux desirable
