This job posting is for an existing, active vacancy and we are looking to hire skilled DevOps SRE immediately who has experience with Google Cloud (GCS, BigQuery).
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud DevOps & SRE Engineer with strong hands‑on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and modern data‑processing tools.
The ideal candidate will ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of cloud-based systems while working closely with engineering, data, and operations teams to drive automation and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain highly available and scalable infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform.
Support and optimize data pipelines using GCP services such as Composer, Dataflow, Dataproc, BigQuery, and GCS.
Implement infrastructure automation and IaC using Terraform.
Develop automation scripts and tools using Python and SQL-based workflow components.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve system reliability, performance, and observability.
Manage and support event-driven integrations using Pub/Sub, APIGEE, Datastream, and Fusion.
Partner with engineering, data engineering, and operations teams to ensure seamless platform operations.
Contribute to SRE best practices—SLIs/SLOs, incident management, postmortems, and continuous improvement.
Mandatory Skills
Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCS, BigQuery, IAM, monitoring).
Strong expertise with GCP Data stack:
Cloud Composer
Dataflow
Dataproc
Strong experience with Terraform, SQL, and Python scripting.
Good understanding of Pub/Sub, APIGEE, Datastream, and Fusion.
Preferred Skills
Experience in automation, CI/CD, or workflow orchestration.
Exposure to ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
Prior experience working in or leading a DevOps/SRE/Operations team.
Familiarity with cloud security and compliance practices.
The pay range for this role is $130,000- $140,000 per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
