1957 Ventures is a Venture Capital and Growth Equity firm located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, focused on investing in and scaling high-growth tech startups and SMEs across the MENA region.
We are looking for an experienced DevOps / Cloud Engineer to join our team in Riyadh. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to support our portfolio companies and internal systems.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Automate deployment and configuration management using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, etc.
- Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous integration and delivery
- Monitor and troubleshoot cloud resources and applications to ensure high availability and performance
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize cloud resource utilization and costs
- Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Document processes and share knowledge with the team
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering
- Strong expertise in one or more public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Proficient in infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, etc.)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Github Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with scripting and programming languages (Bash, Python, Go, etc.)
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Knowledge of networking, security, and monitoring best practices
- Experience in the startup/tech ecosystem is a plus
