Role Description – Business Analyst (Digital Assets & Blockchain) Key Responsibilities 1. Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering Engage with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for digital asset and blockchain payment initiatives. Translate complex business objectives into clear functional and non‑functional requirements. Develop process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, and target operating models for blockchain‑based payment use cases. 2. Emerging Payments Strategy & Solutioning Analyze market trends in: CBDCs Stablecoins Tokenized deposits Cross‑border crypto payments DeFi protocols ISO 20022 Real‑time settlement models Support strategic assessments on new payment rails, blockchain platforms, and ecosystem partners. Identify opportunities for innovation, operational efficiency, and client value creation using digital‑asset‑based solutions. 3. Technical & Functional Collaboration Work with engineering, architecture, and product teams to evaluate: Blockchain platforms (e.g., stablecoins) Layer‑2 scaling solutions Custody, key management, and settlement frameworks Participate in solution design workshops, ensuring business needs are represented. 4. Risk, Compliance & Regulatory Alignment Collaborate with compliance teams on regulatory considerations related to: Digital assets AML/KYC FATF Travel Rule Securities and payments regulations Data privacy and cybersecurity controls Conduct impact assessments for new regulatory updates affecting blockchain or digital asset payments. 5. Testing, Validation & Implementation Support Develop test cases, user acceptance criteria, and support UAT cycles. Partner with technology teams to ensure solutions meet business expectations. Track defects, coordinate remediation, and support go‑live readiness. 6. Documentation & Reporting Create BRDs, functional specifications (FS), process maps, and workflow diagrams. Prepare executive summaries, dashboards, and project updates for stakeholders. Qualifications & Experience Required 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in Payments, FinTech, Banking, or Financial Services. Strong understanding of emerging payment technologies, including: Digital assets & cryptocurrencies Stablecoins & CBDCs Blockchain & distributed ledger technologies Tokenization frameworks Proven experience in translating business needs into functional requirements. Skilled in documentation tools (Confluence, JIRA, Visio, Figma, etc.). Experience working in Agile environments. Preferred Knowledge of ISO 20022, SWIFT gpi, real‑time payments, and cross‑border remittance flows. Experience with blockchain platforms: Ethereum, Hyperledger Fabric, Corda. Familiarity with smart contracts, custody models, and blockchain security concepts. Certifications such as CBAP, CSPO, CSM, Blockchain certifications.
